Sean Savage, BS,CDBC, CPDT

Sean is a co-founder of Canine Curriculum. He is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Sean is the only Certified Dog Behavior Consultant in the Kansas City metro area and 1 of only 3 in the entire state of Missouri.

Growing up, Sean raised and trained Jack Russell Terriers and Labrador Retrievers. Sean has a number of years of experience working and training different animals from dogs to marine mammals. Sean spent four years in South Florida training dogs, Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, and California Sea Lions.

Sean now lives in the Kansas City area where he co-founded Canine Curriculum. On a daily basis Sean helps owners and dogs alike to communicate and understand one another better and in turn have a better quality of life. Sean has an American Bulldog, a Newfoundland, two cats, two rats, and a Sulcata Tortoise. Sean recently presented a lecture on dog behavior for the Applied Behavioral Sciences Department at the University of Kansas.

Kristyn Savage, BA, CPDT

Kristyn is a co-founder of Canine Curriculum. She is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Kristyn received her B. A. in Biology at the University of Missouri. Presently, Kristyn is pursuing her Ph.D. in Applied Behavioral Science at the University of Kansas. She is currently researching alternative treatments of compulsive disorders in dogs.

Growing up, Kristyn raised and trained Golden Retrievers. She began training Quarter and Draft horses in high school and continued into college. Upon graduation Kristyn moved to Key Largo, Florida where she trained dolphins. While in South Florida, Kristyn began training dogs full-time.

Kristyn currently lives in the Kansas City area where she continues to assist owners in building healthy, fulfilling relationships with their dogs. Like Sean, Kristyn shares her home with a Newfoundland, an American Bulldog, two cats, two rats, and a Sulcata Tortoise.
