Canine Curriculum LLC is a positive method based Kansas City dog and puppy training company. We train dog in areas including Parkville, Midtown, Weatherby Lake, Overland Park, Lee's Summit, and Leawood.

Our Kansas City dog trainers are Certified Pet Dog Trainers and members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. It is our policy to continue to learn and be on the cutting edge of the newest and most innovative positive dog training and puppy training methods.

Our certified dog trainers specialize in creating and maintaining a strong, healthy relationship between dog and owner. For your convenience we offer a variety of dog training and puppy training programs to individually fit you and your dogs’ needs.

All of our dog training and and puppy training classes are taught by a certified pet dog trainer.

Group Classes

• Our puppy training group class is a Puppy Kindergarten. Puppy Kindergarten class is for puppies 8-16 weeks of age and focuses on puppy socialization. We cover puppy training topics from puppy house breaking and puppy chewing to teaching leash walking and coming when called. In addition, we cover in home manners.
• Our Basic Dog Obedience Group Class is for dogs 4 months and older. The class covers dog training obedience, including sit, down, stay, leash walking, leave it, come, place, and behavioral issues such as jumping on guests.
• Our Advanced Dog Training Class is for dogs that have graduated from Basic Dog Training Obedience and are ready to do off leash training. The class covers off leash obedience including recall, down on recall, and distraction stays. In addition, the advanced dog training class can prepare your dog for the Canine Good Citizen test as field trips are made to do obedience in distracting environments.

Private In-Home Dog Training Lessons are for those clients that desire more personalized training. The lessons are one hour and held at your home where the behavior occurs. Private In-Home Dog Lessons are taught by a certified pet dog trainer. We cover topics from basic dog obedience to behavioral issues such as separation anxiety and dog aggression. We also cover puppy training including puppy housebreaking, puppy chewing, and puppy socialization.

Three Week Drop and Train Program is for those with a very hectic lifestyle. During this time your puppy or dog will live with and be trained by a Certified Pet Dog Trainer where they will participate in puppy socialization exercises with other dogs during the day. The Three Week Drop and Train comes with three weeks of additional private in home dog training. During this program your dog will learn basic dog obedience including sit, down, stay, leash walking, come, leave it, wait, and place. We will also focus on behavioral issues including puppy housebreaking, puppy chewing, jumping, and other specific problems. When your puppy or dog is not being trained, he or she will participate in puppy and dog socialization. This program requires less time from you, but must be maintained as instructed by your trainer.
